Clever Use of Display Ads by Hefty During 2016 Campaign Season

Have you noticed a few less political ads on the Internet lately?

In what is one of the more clever display ad usage we have seen, Hefty is putting up black ads that just state “This political ad has been trashed thanks to Hefty”.

According to AdWeek, Hefty has purchased space on a handful of sites like CNN.com, Fox News, AOL, and the Huffington Post’s politics page.

In addition to banner ads, they are running as pre-roll on videos.
